This imperial-inspired matchbox cover and tray exudes royalty. Hand-Painted with red and gold enamel, the contrast with the ivory-white sections is striking. Matching designs on both the cover and tray, there are four silver/pewter leaves in each corner with an authentic red crystal at the base of each one. A horseshoe layout outlines both the cover and tray, surrounding a smaller rectangular ivory area, which then surrounds an even smaller, beaded rectangular area in the center. Slightly dropped in the middle, the tray provides a perfect space for the matchbox cover to sit.
